Return and Refund Policy
Thank You for your purchase at www.houseofelegance.in.
We personally believe you are the “Brand Ambassador” for our products and services. We put a personal touch into everything that we do and strive hard to make your shopping experience to be fully satisfying. We are committed to doing whatever it takes to ensure that you are happy and satisfied with every aspect of your purchase.
We believe in our products and are confident that you will love them too. Our products are handcrafted by artisans and each product is a creation of love and skill. The artisan uses all their abilities to create a beautiful and unique product that celebrates their craftsmanship. Do not consider an irregular weave, print or stitch as a defect.
However, if, for some reason, you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, not a problem. We are happy to accept returns and issue refunds/exchanges as per our return and refund policy. Please note the following minor exceptions to our normally generous return policy,
- To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. Your item must be in the original packaging. Your item needs to have the receipt or proof of purchase.
- Items that are eligible for return, can be returned or exchanged within 7 days of its delivery. Please check each product page for return eligibility before you place the order.
- In an unlikely event that your item arrives damaged, please send us an email at email@example.com within 48 hours of receiving your delivery. We will inform you with our product return process.
- Please allow us two weeks from the day you return your package, for your request to be fully processed.
Returns and exchanges are eligible:
- If wrong product has been dispatched
- If the product is received in damaged condition. (Do not accept any package, if it is found tampered or damaged at the time of delivery)
- If package is lost in transit
Returns and exchanges are not eligible:
- Any product purchased under any kind of sale or promotional event is not eligible for refund or exchange.
- If the product returned is used, or in damaged condition or without original packing and tags.
- Our products are handcrafted and may have slight variations in weaves, colours and prints that are a natural outcome of the human involvement in the process. These will not be considered as defects and does not qualify for returns.
- If there are minor colour variations in actual product and product image due to photographic lighting sources and different screen resolutions.
- No refunds would be given if wrong or incomplete shipping address was provided at the time of order placing. We do not deliver at PO Box Addresses.
- If there are three failed delivery attempts by our shipping agency and/or the package is refused by the recipient.
- To raise a return request please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with the following details:
- a) Full Name, b) Order No. & Date, c) Invoice No. & Date, d) Registered Email Address, e) Registered Mobile No., f) Product Photographs, and g) Reason for Return.
- We will assess the details in reference to its eligibility for return or exchange and get back to you within 2 working days of receiving your email.
- If the return request is approved by us, we will arrange a reverse pickup for the product.
- We offer a reverse-pickup service for most of the pin codes. If your location is eligible for reverse pick up and you choose to arrange for a reverse pick-up, a nominal restocking fee of Rs. 100 per product will be deducted from the total refund amount.
- If your pin code is not serviceable by our courier partners for reverse pick up, please arrange for the product parcel to be shipped to the address provided in our email communication. In such cases, restocking fees will not be charged.
- Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. Please allow us 2 working days for this process.
- If approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 10 days of approval for refund.
- Please note that only the product cost after deducting the restocking fee will be refunded. Any other costs like shipping fee, etc. will not be eligible for a refund.
- When your order arrives, please check the parcel for any damage that may have occurred during shipment. It is normal for the shipping parcel to show some wear, however, if damage occurred to the items in your shipment, please notify us immediately at email@example.com
- Please provide the order number along with your email address and phone number for faster service. To assure prompt resolution, please retain the shipping parcel/box, packing materials and the damaged items for inspection by the shipment agency.
- Due to the logistics involved, we are currently not accepting returns against International Shipments.
